Survival Apnea Courses aim to share “Surfers & Freedivers´ Insights” with other water enthusiasts, athletes and people in general.
This course will give the student a deeper understanding of what the human body and mind go through when under water on a single breath. In addition, the individual will be exposed to simple and effective exercises and training methods that, over time, will deliver physical and mental adaptations, helping the participant overcome “Intense Situations” with more ease.
Learning “The Basics” of the breath holding experience is an opportunity to raise awareness on the importance of: Connection to Nature, Breath Control, Mental Strength and Physical Preparation when engaging with the elements.
Dive Reflex, Urge to Breath, Relaxation technics, Breathing Exercises, Diaphragmatic Contractions and Static Breath Holds, Safety when training, Swimming and Dynamic Apnea training methods.
This is a 6 hour course given in 2 sessions, each of 3 hours.
Day 1 consists of 1.5 hours of theory and 1.5 hours of special breathing exercises and breath hold practice.
Day 2 is all in the Swimming Pool. Here we will go through a variety of exercises that will put into practice what was learned in class the day before.
The different exercises have been chosen based on their effectiveness in evolving the individual’s performance when exposed to “Intense Situations”, at the same time of offering the opportunity to understand in depth the breath hold experience.
Participants should know that the mind sharpens the moment someone is holding his breath. This is the window our courses facilitate to pass on our message.
